    For the peak of Biokovo mountain you have the paved road, with some unpaved option on the ridge. Check the map at : http://www.takeadventure.com/…o_peak_1.htm.
    
    On Biokovo ridge there are some carriageways left/right from the main paved road but all of them are impasse. Hiking trails are not suitable because they are very steep and rocky. Be careful with the weather. Do not visit Biokovo if you are not 100% sure in your condition and weather forecast. During summer time take enough water (3l minimum).
    
    From Makarska you can visit by ferry boat the Brac island (port Sumartin). It takes around 60 minutes by ferry. I can suggest you the routes:

    The trails on Brac are not labeled!
    
    Furthermore, as far as I know there are good trails near Omis port (river Cetina) in the area named Omiska Dinara. In the local bookstores you can buy the map including hiking and biking trails.

    Sorry, for Hvar I have no published data (maybe next year) but I know there are many short XC/AM trails left/right from the main paved road along Hvar island. Of course take the bike and ride!
